Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine: plan the arrival.
Choose this as the day’s exploratory indoor anchor, then allow for arrival, food and a flexible finish. The museum and a theatre performance are separate planning choices.

Profile notes
Museum admission and theatre tickets
Advance museum tickets are available but not required, and a daily museum ticket is valid for the whole day. Theatre performances have separate ticket choices. Check the calendar before choosing a performance.
Plan for adult supervision
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults generally must be accompanied by a child, with exceptions for ticketed theatre performances and separately arranged facility tours. Do not build a split-group day that conflicts with those rules.
Go to Thompson’s Point
The museum’s address is 250 Thompson’s Point Road. Parking is paid and managed externally, with enforcement described as around the clock. Keep parking separate from the admission budget; this is not the former downtown museum location.
Food has a place
Food and drinks belong in designated areas, with exceptions for water and baby bottles; glass containers are prohibited. Plan a food break without assuming exhibit areas or a vacant indoor picnic table will be available.
Quieter visits require a calendar check
The museum publishes accessibility guides and describes Play Your Way as a quieter special playtime. It does not mean every rainy-day visit is quiet or every exhibit fits every visitor. Review the guides and ask about the specific needs that affect your visit.
