Three days in Portland
Three nights: arrival, a play-led day, an optional art day and a soft departure.

Keep one base, choose one main outing per day and leave the order flexible enough to move an indoor day when the forecast changes.
The Portland plan uses three nights for an arrival afternoon and two full days before departure. The Freeport plan uses four nights for arrival, three full days and departure. Compare those usable days before deciding which stay fits your time away.
The room determines where you can rest and eat; the attraction’s actual calendar determines when the plan works. PMA lists Monday closure, so the art option needs a different day or a substitute.
A second stop may be skipped without making the day a failure. If a family needs a quieter afternoon, protect that time instead of moving every missed activity into tomorrow.
